Work Areas
Since qualifying as a personal injury solicitor in 1993, I have dealt with most types of personal injury claim.
Some of my recent cases and clients have included the following:
- An accident on a package holiday in Turkey
- Psychological and burn injuries caused by an electric shock at work
- A cyclist in London, whose elbow was dislocated after his bicycle wheel went down a pothole in the road
- A fall from scaffolding on a building site in London
- A pavement tripping accident in Leamington Spa
- An industrial injury in Wales, involving a severed index finger
- An excavator driver in Bristol, who suffered a back injury at work
Client Locations
Due to the power of the Internet, the vast majority of my clients are from outside my local area of South East Hampshire.
As I deal mainly with workplace injury claims, many of my clients are concentrated in industrialised areas of the UK, such as Birmingham, Bristol, London and Southampton.
I aim to meet most of my clients personally. However on occasions this is not possible. If so then I will decline instructions and suggest that the new caller engages a personal injury lawyer in their locality instead.
Brief Biography
After completing my Articles (or 2-year legal training contract) at a law firm in Southampton, I was admitted to the roll of solicitors on 21 November 1993.
I then moved to the Midlands and trained as a specialist personal injury lawyer at big legal practices in Nottingham and Birmingham. There I dealt with many claims on behalf of Trade Unions, particularly back injury compensation claims. I returned to Hampshire in Summer 2003.
I am a past vice-chairman of Birmingham Sole Practitioners Group and a current council member of Hampshire Incorporated Law Society.
My office is in Gosport, Hampshire, being between Portsmouth and Southampton.
Independent personal injury lawyer
I set up as an independent personal injury lawyer in July 2000.
In contrast to the large law firms where I worked previously, I now run a comparatively small caseload. This means that I aim to give each client my full, personal attention.
At the end of each case, I always ask my client for feedback. This takes the form of a feedback questionnaire.
